Movie Review: Innocent Victims

ABC; Sun., Jan. 21, 9 p.m. ET

When a military wife and her two little girls are murdered in their home near Fort Bragg in North Carolina in 1985, cops arrest Army man Tim Hennis (Northern Exposure's John Corbett, unrecognizable in blond hair and mustache). But his parents (Hal Holbrook and Rue McClanahan) believe their son is innocent and hire two young attorneys (Rick Schroder and Tom Irwin) to defend him. Engrossing but overlong, this true-life courtroom drama, concluding the following night, goes for the fine points of evidence and wastes worthy actors on one-dimensional characters. They deserve a retrial.
